Manipal International Summer School (MISS) – 2024
Manipal International Summer School 2024 is a novel initiative of MAHE that aims
to bring together
international students from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures and provide them an experience of
learning both inside and outside the classrooms. The courses are designed for two weeks of intensive learning in every morning involving the interactions
with experts in the field of chosen departments. Inside the classroom, students will interact, network and
debate on issues of varied nature based on the course selected – science, geopolitics, management and
humanities.
Beyond the classrooms, every afternoon, students will get a chance to dive into the world of local culture
and regional diversity through a series well-curated cultural immersion activity. There would be guided
trips to place of historical importance and sites of cultural heritage. The organised cultural immersion
programme will take the students to a world of distinctive Manipal. Experiencing rain, sights, cultures,
traditions, art, and living that is unique to the region would make the Summer School a truly an experience
of lifetime.
Join our summer school courses to learn the nuances of the much-hyped Indian adage that
“Everything that you see – the opposite is also true!”
Learn while it Rains
Learn while it Rains at Manipal, India
Soaking in rain during summer does not happen everywhere…and learning through
the rain during summer
happens especially at Manipal!
Manipal, a little university town located on the rocky hinterland of the Malabar Coast in south-west India, is a microcosm of India. From its location on a plateau, it commands a panoramic view of the Arabian Sea on the west and the Western Ghats on the east. It rains for real all the while from June to August…and Manipal invites students across the globe to experience the learning as it rains at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) through a host of Summer courses ranging from wilderness medicine, ecology of the Western Ghats, essence of Yoga, basics of Ayurveda, business landscapes of India, temple architecture, entrepreneurship in the region, international relations, Gandhian philosophy, ethics in Indian epics, to the living ways of the regional cultures and more.

top the list. In India,
one would experience ‘diversity’ in every conceivable field- language, learning, religion, climate, cuisine,

a site of learning for more than twenty-five thousand students from different states of India and different
parts of the world. It is a name to reckon with in the field of higher education in India. Students of
varied background and nationalities live, learn and play in the sprawling University town, nestled on a
plateau in the southern coast of India. It also has about 2500 faculty and almost 10000 other support and
